This might include the need to be socially aware, able to read people’s emotions to really understand what’s happening, and relationship management, using your own emotions to manage interactions with other people’s emotions.

- Staying positive – individuals with high EQ are comfortable with who they are, making it easier for them to engage in feedback and avoid unnecessary negativity. Confidence, not cockiness, is the result.
