Immediate contract need of 6 months + in Kansas City, Missouri law firm for a Nurse Analyst.
Nurse Analyst reviews and analyzes litigation, medical and scientific information.
Complies and summarizes pertinent medical and scientific issues into litigation relevant chronologies.
Assists in the preparation of both fact and expert medical witnesses.
Prepares correspondence, memoranda, outlines, timelines and chronologies that describe important medical and scientific case facts.
Prepares and maintains medical witness files.
Reviews and analyzes medical and scientific information from literature.
Maintains calendar or tickler system, subject to case requirements.
Keeps abreast of significant developments in areas of assigned responsibility and areas of expertise, in order to undertake assignments as appropriate.
Understands the full scope of litigation and recognizes relevant information to a case when reviewing documents and/or testimony.
Keeps track of time in specified intervals and turns in time records as instructed.
Uses excellent verbal, written and communication skills, and is courteous and professional at all times.
Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems as they develop; seeks advice as needed.
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Nursing or a medical-related field from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or Associate’s Degree in Nursing and minimum of six years relevant experience; must have current state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse.
