Lenexa construction company in need of a part-time accounting clerk with Quickbooks experience. 20 hours per week-flexible on the days.

Will need excel proficiency for reporting!

Position Overview:

Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting, administrative and clerical services, including processing and monitoring payments, expenditures and the preparing and monitoring of Quickbooks for various entities. Accounting Clerk provides, and ensures that finances are accurate and up to date, that staff are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions (mainly) thru Quickbooks including:

Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services

Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents.

Reconciles bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.

Data entry invoices for payment

Process backup reports after data entry

Manage the monthly check run

Record all checks

Prepare vendor checks for mailing

List all vendor checks in the log book

Prepare manual checks as required

Maintain listing of accounts payable

Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers

Print and distribute monthly financial reports

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

20 hours/week with Mondays being a MUST!

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour
