Kansas City, KS Home Health Care company seeks a Staffing Coordinator. The primary responsibility would be to answer phones and be the sole point of contact between our clients/patients and the employees. This is a demanding position and absolutely requires good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and a sense of responsibility. One person handles this job right now, but the company is looking to split the position in 2 in order to lighten the workload. With the lighter load, the other part of the position would be to help with the file room.
The work is straight forward; answer the phone and talk to the employees and clients, and help with general office work. When a case needs to be staffed, field staff needs to be called until someone is found to staff the client. Having great communication skills isn't enough, a person also needs to be very well organized and remember to call an employee/client back. They also need to effectively communicate issues to the rest of the office staff. Lastly, they need to possess a sense of urgency and personal responsibility. Waiting till the end of the day staff cases and then simply saying "oh well" and leaving clients unstaffed is unacceptable. Clients are people that need help, and it's our responsibility to provide that help. In the end it takes someone that understands the importance of this position.
Not required, but it would be an added bonus if the candidate spoke Spanish.
